Travel Season and Weather

An excellent season to visit East Africa is June to early November and late December through March because Kenya is located on the equator, there are no extremes in temperature and very little humidity. Most of your safari will be conducted at elevations of 4500ft or more above sea level. The nights can be cold ranging from 45 – 60 degrees and days, warm ranging 65 – 90 degrees. The long rains may come from April to the end of May and the short rains, November to late December. The coolest months are June and July; the warmest months are January and February.

International Air Arrangements

Phoenix Safaris will provide International air fares upon request. We will make all efforts to secure the lowest available airfares at the time of your booking.

Travel Documents

Traveler’s must posses a valid passport. Most East African countries requires a visa for entry. We will provide pertinent information on these items after we have received your deposit.

Health Requirements

We recommend that you consult your personal physician as to which vaccinations and medications are required and recommended for the areas of Africa you plan to visit. Required inoculations should be recorded and stamped on an official yellow international immunization card which should be carried with your passport.
